About us

We are Konekt, a leading civil society organization (CSO) founded in North Macedonia in 2008, with a mission to encourage and promote private giving and social responsibility, targeted at effective and long-term development. Our founders believe that North Macedonia and the region has a potential to grow through reliance on local resources and capacities. That is why we focus on encouraging and promoting a culture of individual and corporate philanthropy. We are building structural support for donation, social responsibility (CSR), ESG and social entrepreneurship to drive sustainable development. We believe that philanthropy and social responsibility have the power to advance civil society and build inclusive and sustainable local communities with a better life for all.

We achieve this through:

1. cultivating a strategically placed philanthropic culture – we promote private donations that help sustainable development and create solutions to problems, going one step ahead of humanitarian donations that mitigate the consequences.
2. creating infrastructure for giving into trustworthy, committed organizations and development initiatives that promote long-term partnerships and solutions.
3. deliver support to companies in the development, implementation, and auditing of their philanthropy, CSR and ESG strategies and achieve stronger impact.
4. provide capacity building services to CSOs to fundraise locally, in a transparent and accountable manner.

To deliver on our mission, Konekt has spent more than 15 years developing and implementing a range of initiatives designed to encourage corporate and individual strategic investments in our community.
